Man Fatally Shot In Newark: Prosecutor

A man was fatally shot in Newark on the evening of Thursday, Aug. 1, authorities said.

The shooting occurred around 10:30 p.m. on South 10th Street, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said.

The investigation is ongoing, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said.
